VERIFICATION AND DESIGN OF NEW CELL FOUNDATIONS AND FILTER FOUNDATION

Minera Las Cenizas is developing the Expansion Project of the Electro-Winning Plant (EW) of its facility located near region. The engineering has been developed by ARCADIS.
In order to carry out the expansion, it is required to dismantle front face of the EW building, reason why R&S Group, in charge of the construction of the Project has required to evaluate the condition of the building without the roof structure during the expansion period for which DRI Engineering Services were requested for this purpose.
The modified condition of the building is analyzed, that is, the resistance capacity of the building without the roof structure of axis 1 is evaluated, in addition to the behavior in terms of deformation.
It is also part of the analysis to verify the behavior of the anchoring of the building.
As part of the expansion works, 28 new electro winning cells are required to be installed, whose foundations according to ARCADIS design correspond to isolated footings with concrete base, under each cell support. R&S Group has asked DRI Ingeniería to redesign the cell foundations, replacing the insulated footings solution with foundation beams or slabs to support each row of cells.

STRUCTURAL VERIFICATION ESMERALDA PLANT

The project consists of the structural revision of the Esmeralda concrete batch plant of Xtreme Mining located in the Teniente Division of CODELCO.
A structural survey of Xtreme Mining's Esmeralda concrete batch plant is carried out. The inspection seeks to size the plant in terms of dimensions, structural profiles used and main connections, and then from a structural verification, determine the condition of the structure in terms of strength and deformations to withstand the stresses imposed by the operating loads of the plant, in addition to determining at the conceptual engineering level reinforcement requirements, where and when necessary.

PLANT STRUCTURAL VERIFICATION

The project consists of the verification of some of the concrete batch plant structures, located in , of the Teniente Division of CODELCO.
The following structures are verified: truck loading structure; cone control structure, lifeline frame and truck loading belt support structures attached to the concrete conveyor belt.
The verifications contemplate determining whether the structures have the capacity to resist the stresses and deformations imposed by the design loads. In those structures that do not have the capacity to resist the stresses or present deformations much higher than the normative limits, reinforcements will be suggested to bring the structure up to the standards required.

The project consists of the structural inspection of the Teniente 7 concrete batch plant of Xtreme Mining located in the Teniente Division of CODELCO.
A structural survey is carried out on the teniente 7 concrete batch plant of Xtreme Mining, the survey seeks to size the plant in terms of dimensions, structural profiles used and main connections and then, based on a structural verification, determine the condition of the structure in terms of resistance and deformations to withstand the efforts imposed by the plant's operating loads.
Determine the reinforcement requirements within the conceptual engineering level, where and when necessary.
